York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

βIf you havenβt been to Fig & Barrel Pub yet, you are seriously missing out. I had the gnocchi gorgonzola and added chicken. It was well beyond deliciousβI would happily walk back through their doors just to eat that exact dish again. We also ordered the Butcherβs Cut, which was incredibly tender and met every single expectation. The ambiance is fantastic; the outdoor seating feels just as intimate and cozy as the indoor dining area. Great drinks, exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, and a stellar French press coffee to close out the night. We will absolutely be back!

This place was nice! The huge booths are fun and fit 7 of us with lots of extra room. Service was great, the atmosphere was great, the prices are great, the food - not so great, not terrible but let's just say I was grateful for the prices bc spending anymore on that meal woulda been tough. My husband's burger just wasn't good, the tots were. My pear salad was mid, the dressing is strange. The gumbo was pretty good. The kids said the crab tots were salty, my son's apple and bacon grilled cheese was hardly melted. The only real winner was the kielbasa and perogies. The wings were fine, the ranch dressing was really good. The pretzel was uneventful and none of us really liked the cheese sauce. The meat and cheese plate was also uneventful. I also had the dubai chocolate drink, it just didn't have a lot of flavor. Someone else in our party had one of the pizzas, it was also okay. We wanted to love this place and like I said the prices were right, all of that food for 186. Service was excellent, and so was the vibe. We didn't hate it, but we didn't love it either.

Went for dinner the other night for the first time and we will definitely be back again! The atmosphere was so fun and our server Brandi was the absolute best! She was so friendly and made us have a truly spectacular dining experience. I have celiacs and she took the time to comb through the menu and give me suggestions that catered to my allergy. She truly went above and beyond for us! Amazing experience, the food came out delicious, and Brandi topped off our experience by being so wonderful!

I visited Fig & Barrel with a group, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. We were seated near the front, but I still had a great view of the entire restaurant, which gave a really nice feel for the atmosphere. They have a large selection of drinks, and everything we tried was well done. I ordered the Pink Lady, which I really enjoyed, and for my meal I got the butcherβs cut with the chefβs choice of meat, cooked medium well. It came with fire-roasted Brussels sprouts and potatoes, and everything was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and very filling. Overall, the food was delicious and satisfying, and the experience made me want to come back and try more from the menu especially the shrimp and grits and the mustard salmon. Definitely a spot Iβd return to!

We just had a belated valentines date this evening and everything was awesome! From the friendly service (our server was Rebecca!) to the delicious apps/entrees to the well crafted cocktails and mocktails, everything was truly great! We found this place through a TikTok video someone posted and wanted to try something new. We drove about 30 minutes and it was well worth it. There were so many things we wanted to try so we will definitely be back!
